After graduating from the University of the Philippines, Johans had a desire to work overseas and she ended up at NZAS, in 2017, and has found her work incredibly fulfilling and rewarding.

Tiwai has reduced it’s fluoride emissions by more than 13 times, since the dry scrubbers were introduced in 1996. They’ve developed and evolved their collector bars to result in a longer cell life and improved power and current efficiencies.

Next year there will be three female graduate process engineers. For Johans, more women working in operations at the plant has been a satisfying and refreshing progression to see.
