Andrea only expected to stay at Tiwai for a couple of years
Nearly three decades later, she says the culture of care, the variety, in every day, and seeing first-hand the large impact their small community has had is what’s kept her here.
“I’ve never worked in a place that looks after the people like they do at Tiwai. Not just the company, but the people themselves, too.”
Community and national investment
$54 million dollars is spent, each year, in the community and an additional $82 million in salaries and over $400 million nationally.
Tiwai’s contribution to both the national economy and the world is in addition to the varied and increasingly vital role Tiwai plays in supporting the local community, via partnerships, initiatives and sponsorships.
